HOUSTON — A 36-year-old man was killed in a violent crash that crushed his Lexus and ripped apart the engine bay of a large truck in west Houston.
Police have not released the victim's name at this time.
The incident happened before 3 a.m. Friday under the Katy Freeway at Highway 6.
According to a press release from the Houston Police Department, the Lexus driver ran a red light and collided with the truck. It appears the crash was nearly head-on.
The truck's driver was placed in a patrol car for questioning, but no charges are expected in the case.
