HOUSTON — This weekend, afternoon rain chances go up Saturday and watch for scattered storms Sunday morning, afternoon and evening.
You should also monitor the forecast carefully as Houston is expecting to see impacts from Beryl. The impact inland looks likely to be tropical downpours Monday and Tuesday.
The coast will also be looking at a high rip current risk and coastal erosion.

Tropical Outlook
Tropics are active. We are tracking Hurricane Beryl and an additional wave.
As Beryl gets closer to the Gulf coast the KHOU 11 Weather Team has called for two Weather Impact Alert Days for Monday and Tuesday. Beryl's tropical bands likely move into or near Houston bringing us heavy downpours. Coastal erosion and rip currents are also an impact to watch. Stay close to the forecast this weekend. For this weekend expect hot and humid temperatures with the chance of isolated showers. Rain ramps up late Sunday into the start of the week.
