HOUSTON — You heard Houston city officials say that if you don't have to be on the roads, stay where you are. Here are some of the reasons why.

First, check out the live stream above. That's Houston Transtar cameras showing spots around town where driving conditions are treacherous.

We also had crews out today looking for trouble spots to warn you about.

We'll start with Beltway 8 near 249, where KHOU 11's Troy Kless found problems.

Later, he wasn't moving on Beltway 8 near Aldine-Westfield.

And if you were at the airport, you may have heard this, shot by KHOU's Matt Dougherty.

Victor Jacobo was out on I-45 north of the Grand Parkway and saw scenes like this.

Shern-Min Chow found iced over roads along I-10 at Bunker Hill.

One driver who KHOU 11's Ron Treviño spoke with normally has a 35-minute drive home.  Monday, it took six hours.

And here was KHOU 11's coverage of the Monday mess across the Houston area.
