KATY, Texas — Someone who bought a Powerball ticket in the Katy area for Monday’s drawing has reason to smile. That’s because a ticket that person bought is worth $1 million.
According to the Texas Lottery, the $1 million-winning ticket was sold at the Cinco Ranch Express on South Mason Road at Cinco Ranch Boulevard.
The numbers were 39, 41, 43, 49 and 64 with a Powerball of 4. The ticket sold at the Cinco Ranch business matched the five numbers, but missed the Powerball.
There was not a big jackpot winner in the drawing, so that now rolls over to $188 million for Wednesday’s drawing. There were also $1 million-winning tickets for Monday night’s Powerball drawing sold in in California and South Carolina.
If you can’t wait for Wednesday’s drawing, there’s a Mega Millions drawing on Tuesday night with a jackpot of $311 million.
The $1 million-winning ticket sold for Monday night's drawing is the second time this month that Katy has been in the Powerball news. Back on Jan. 8, we posted a story on someone in Katy claimed a $2 million prize.
If you or someone you know has a gambling problem, the Texas Lottery has some resources that can help.
