HOUSTON — Houston police have arrested one of the suspects accused of shooting and killing a man in west Houston on Tuesday, Oct. 1.

Cameron Grant, 18, is charged with murder in the shooting death of a 46-year-old man found on Overbrook Lane near Westheimer Drive.

Editor's note: The above video aired before Grant was arrested.

HPD said Grant turned himself in after they released surveillance photos of two suspects. The second suspect hasn't been caught.

Homicide detectives said the victim was told about a shoplifting incident at a nearby convenience store and he spotted the theft suspect sitting on the sidewalk with another male. The man confronted them and witnesses said there was an altercation. When the pair took off on foot, the victim pepper-sprayed them and chased them down the sidewalk. That's when they shot him multiple times and ran into a nearby apartment complex.

The guy still on the loose is believed to be 18-25 years old. He has brown and black locks and was wearing a black shirt, black pants and blue shoes.
