WANTED: Houston police say these 2 guys shot and killed a man when he confronted them about shoplifting

HPD says these two males are wanted in the Tuesday night shooting of a man on Overbrook Lane near Westheimer.

HOUSTON — Houston police released surveillance photos of two suspects wanted in the fatal shooting of a man in west Houston Tuesday night.

The body of the 46-year-old man was found on a sidewalk on Overbrook Lane near Westheimer Drive around 7:40 p.m.

Homicide detectives said the victim was advised of a shoplifting incident and located the theft suspect sitting on the sidewalk with another male. He confronted them and witnesses said there was an altercation. When the pair took off on foot, the victim pepper-sprayed them and chased them down the sidewalk. That's when they shot him and ran into a nearby apartment complex.  

Both suspects are believed to be 18 to 25 years of age. 

One guy had brown and black locks and was wearing a gray hoodie, blue shorts and white slides. 

The other suspect had black locks and was wearing a black shirt, black pants and blue shoes.
