GALVESTON, Texas - Heavy rains pounded Galveston Tuesday and, coupled with unusually high tides, caused concern among city officials and residents.
The Office of Emergency Management has issued a Coastal Flood Advisory for Bolivar Peninsula and Galveston Island for the next few days.
Officials are also warning of rip currents over the next several days as the storm system coming in from the west interacts with a system in the Gulf.
