Update- the freeway has reopened as of 7:43 a.m.

All southbound lanes of I-45 the Gulf Freeway were blocked as of 6:58 am. due to a major crash involving two vehicles.
The closure is at the 610 Loop, reports Houston TranStar.
A major line of storms moved through Houston early this morning but has now for the most part cleared out. Freeways and roads are still very wet, however.
