Southwest Freeway back open after crash that knocked down power lines

Houston police reported at 12:50 Friday that power lines had fallen across the freeway.

HOUSTON — Traffic is now flowing on the Southwest Freeway after downed power lines had the freeway shut down in both directions at Bissonnet, according to the Houston Police Department.

HPD tweeted about incident at 12:50 p.m. Friday.

Investigators said the downed power lines were related to a crash that happened on the freeway. No other details were given about the incident.

No injuries were reported.
