Woman killed in North Freeway rollover crash had hazard lights flashing before she crashed, HPD says

The 29-year-old woman was driving on the right shoulder near Tidwell when she ran into the wall, veered across all lanes and slammed into the left wall.

HOUSTON — A woman was killed in a deadly rollover crash on the North Freeway heading north early Friday, according to the Houston Police Department.

The 29-year-old woman was driving on the right shoulder with her hazard lights flashing before crashing into the wall, HPD said. The gray Chevy Malibu veered across all lanes, slammed into the left wall and then overturned.

The driver died at the scene.

According to Houston Transtar, this happened just before 3:30 a.m. near Tidwell Road. The freeway reopened just after 5:30 a.m.
