HOUSTON — A deadly crash forced the mainlines of the Katy Freeway westbound at Heights Boulevard to shut down Tuesday evening, according to the Houston Police Department.
The call came in just after 8:30 p.m. The mainlanes have since reopened.
The crash involved a motorcycle and an 18-wheeler. One person was dead at the scene, according to police. It is unclear whether the deceased person was the motorcyclist or the driver of the 18-wheeler.
It is unknown if anyone else was injured.
