Two drivers were taken to the hospital after a near head-on crash in far southwest Houston overnight.
Houston Police said the crash occurred around midnight on Almeda Road near Junction Drive.
Both vehicles, a Mercedes and Chevrolet SUV, were traveling in opposite directions on Almeda. One of the drivers crossed the center line and struck the other. The driver in the Chevrolet ended up in a nearby ditch.
Both drivers were said to be in stable condition as they were taken to the hospital.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
