HOUSTON – Houston Texans long snapper Jon Weeks has been selected to the 2016 NFL Pro Bowl, the team announced Tuesday.
Weeks will make his first Pro Bowl appearance on Jan. 31 at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Weeks has been the Texans' long snapper on extra points, field goals and punts for every game this season. He recorded a career-high eight special teams tackles and one fumble recovery in the regular season. Weeks -- who has been with Houston since 2010 -- has played in 96 regular-season games for the team. He passed former Texan Byan Pittman for eighth place on the list of most career regular-season games played in franchise history.
Weeks joins wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins and defensive end J.J. Watt as Texans selected to the Pro Bowl this year. Houston tackle Duane Brown was also named an alternate this season.
