Former Cowboys WR Terrell Owens hit by car after pickup basketball game: Report

CALABASAS, Calif. — Editor's note: The video published above is a report from August 2022.

Former Dallas Cowboys star wideout Terrell Owens was hit by a car after an argument over a basketball game, according to multiple reports.

TMZ was first to report the news on Tuesday and multiple local news outlets in Los Angeles have confirmed the incident with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office, including ABC affiliate ABC 7

The incident reportedly happened in the 26000 block of Rondell Street in Calabasas, Calif. Investigators told ABC 7 that a man, who has not been identified, struck Owens with a vehicle. The Hall of Fame wide receiver didn't suffer any injuries and did not require any medical attention, according to LASD.

According to ABC 7, the sheriff's department filed a report for assault with a deadly weapon. 

Owen, 49, played 15 seasons in the NFL, including three for Dallas, racking up nearly 16,000 receiving yards and 153 touchdowns. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2018.

In August 2022, Owens posted a video on social media that went viral where he got into a confrontation with one of his neighbors.
