Houstonians say goodbye to Milo Hamilton

ID=32503105HOUSTON – Sports fans this weekend are paying their final respects to Hall-of-Fame broadcaster Milo Hamilton.

Various visitations, public and private, will be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Lewis and Sons Funeral Home on Bering Drive.

There will be two funerals, one in Houston and another in Iowa. Both of those services will be private.

A memorial on Friday morning is private, but a 3 to 5 p.m. memorial in the afternoon is public. Visitation services Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. are public.

Hamilton was the voice of the Houston Astros for 27 years. He died Sept. 17 after a long battle with leukemia.

He was 88.
