MINNEAPOLIS — "The Astros have a date with the Texas Rangers," Astros Radio broadcaster Robert Ford announced as Houston beat out the Minnesota Twins to advance to the ALCS.
The 'Stros held onto their 3-2 lead over the Twins Wednesday night to take the ALDS 3-1. Here's how Ford called the final moments of the game.
"Here it comes... Strike three call on the outside corner! And that is the ball game and that is the series! The Houston Astros defeat the Minnesota Twins by a final of 3-2 and they take the ALDS three games to one. For a seventh straight year, the American League Championship Series will include the Houston Astros!" he said. "The Twins give the Astros everything they can handle, but Ryan Pressly finishes it off by striking out the side as the Astros have a date with the Texas Rangers in the American League Championship Series."
