HOUSTON – Houston police responded to a fatal crash that shut down Fuqua on the southeast side early Wednesday.
According to officers at the scene, the crash happened at about 3:30 a.m. in the 9800 block of Fuqua.
Officers said a red Infiniti struck the median and then swerved into a light pole at a high rate of speed. The female driver, who was in her early-20s, was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no other injuries or deaths.
An investigation into the cause of the crash is underway.
