PHOENIX A baby girl from Arizona has been found dead inside a cardboard box that was shipped to a warehouse in Texas.
Texas authorities told The Arizona Republic that a truck carrying used clothing from Phoenix to McAllen arrived at a warehouse Wednesday evening.
The truck s trailer was unloaded the next day by employees at the warehouse. As they were sorting through boxes of used clothes, employees say they found the remains of the baby inside a cardboard box, stuffed between garments.
The girl hasn t been identified and McAllen police say they re unsure whether the baby was born alive.
The body has been taken for an autopsy. Police say the clothes are either donated or purchased somewhere else and then sold to the poor in McAllen.
