Tornado Watch: Montgomery, other northern counties

There is a chance for severe weather this evening. Large hail and gusty winds will be the primary threats.

HOUSTON — There is a Tornado Watch for Montgomery, Brazos, Grimes, Polk, San Jacinto, Walker and Washington counties until 11:00 p.m. 

The KHOU 11 Weather Team is monitoring the weather closely. There is a chance for severe weather this evening. The chance for rain will reach 80 percent by this evening.

Large hail and gusty winds will be the primary threats. More widespread storms and rain are expected for Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

At least one possible tornado was spotted at Easterwood Airport near College Station Wednesday afternoon. There are no reports of damage.

Another possible tornado caused some damage in Roberson County.

The 7-day outlook is a busy one. With storm chances in the forecast through Saturday, flooding will be a major concern by the end of the week. 

Tuesday's storms brought heavy flooding to areas north of Houston. Around 400 homes were flooded in the Kingwood area.

Boats and trucks helped rescue people trapped inside their homes. At last check, emergency responders got more than 250 calls for high water rescues throughout Tuesday night's severe weather.
