HOUSTON - Scouts from the Sam Houston Area Council are teaming up with Souper Bowl of Caring to collect food through a substantial door-to-door effort throughout the city this weekend.
Thousands of Scouts and their leaders will be dropping off door hangers on Jan. 24. Residents who receive a door hanger are encouraged to place non-perishable food items outside their door by 9 a.m. on Jan. 31. The Scouts will pick up the food and then deliver all donations directly to food pantries served by the Houston Food Bank, Montgomery County Food Bank and Brazos Valley Food Bank.
