HOUSTON — Tuesday, Nov. 7 is Election Day. Voters head to the polls to have their say on many citywide races, including the race for Houston mayor. There are 17 candidates on the ballot and one write-in candidate. We reached out to all of them to get three questions about issues facing the city answered.

Those three questions were…

  1. What is one thing you would do to address crime in the City of Houston?
  2. How would you improve infrastructure and response to infrastructure concerns like water leaks?
  3. How would you address the current animosity between the City of Houston and the state government?

Below are their answers. The candidates are listed by alphabetical order of their last name. There were some candidates who didn’t respond to our request for answers or declined to send one.
