HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — A race Harris County voters will decide on Nov. 5 is the one for the Harris County district attorney. Democrat Sean Teare will face off against Republican Dan Simons.
In the March Democratic primary, challenger Teare defeated incumbent Kim Ogg, 126,449 to 42,149, roughly 75% of the vote.

Simons ran unopposed in the GOP primary.
Teare served as a prosecutor with the Harris County DA's Office for 11 years, including six years as the Division Supervisor of the Office’s Vehicular Crimes Division.
