WASHINGTON (WUSA9) – A star has emerged from this year’s Republican National Convention and she’s not running for political office.

Six-year-old Heavenly Joy shocked audience members in Cleveland with her rendition of “America The Beautiful.”
Her dynamic voice ignited delegates and Republican supporters as they kicked off the convention’s last day.

The performer received a resounding standing ovation and also sparked a lot of conversation on social media.

Before her performance, the singer asked for prayers on her Twitter page which already has over 3,000 followers.

Heavenly Joy is the daughter of music producer Rodney Jerkins, who has worked with successful artists such as Brandy, Michael Jackson, Beyonce and Toni Braxton among others. Her mother, Joy Enriquez, is also a talented singer and racked up 11 straight wins on Star Search according to Billboard.

Joy first shot to fame after auditioning for America’s Got Talent where she proclaimed her love for Jesus. She was also recently featured on Little Big Shots where host Steve Harvey declared she was one of the happiest kids he’s ever interviewed.

Don’t expect Heavenly Joy to go away anytime soon. She’ll be starring with Samuel L. Jackson in Blazing Samurai, a new animated feature film coming out in 2017 where she’ll voice a cat. Joy also has a new single out called “War.”
