HOUSTON — Houston police are working to identify a woman whose body was found dumped on the side of a highway on the northeast side.
Investigators said the discovery was made Tuesday just before 10:30 a.m. along Beaumont Highway just outside the 610 Loop.
A passerby noticed the victim lying in a ditch and called 911. HFD paramedics responded and pronounced her deceased.
According to investigators, there was no sign of trauma and they weren't able to provide an obvious cause of death. An autopsy will be done to determine how she died.
The woman's identity hasn't been released and police didn't offer any description of her.
