'What's a policeman doing with my food?' Beaumont police officer completes delivery after arresting DoorDash driver

Officer Bridges took the "protect and serve" motto literally when he made a pit stop to deliver a woman's food before he took her DoorDash driver to jail.

BEAUMONT, Texas — A Ring camera captured a Beaumont resident's surprise Monday morning when a Beaumont Police officer showed up on their porch holding their DoorDash order.

Officer Bridges pulled over a DoorDash driver while they were on the way to make a delivery.

The driver reportedly had several warrants and obviously was not allowed to complete the delivery, but luckily as the driver was taken to jail, Officer Bridges decided to make a bit of a detour from his normal route.

"What's a policeman doing with my food?" the homeowner exclaimed in the video.

Officer Bridges explained that she was not in trouble but her driver was, and he was just there to finish out the order.

"What can we say? Beaumont Police Department delivers," Beaumont Police Department said in a post on Facebook.
