BRAZORIA COUNTY, Texas - Two men were killed when a single-engine plane crashed in the San Bernard Refuge area.
One of the crash victims has been identified as David Leining, 63, of Santa Fe, Texas. DPS is not releasing the name of the other man, aged 57, pending notification of next of kin.
The crash happened late Tuesday morning. The men were pronounced dead at 12:15 p.m.
DPS says that the crash happened around 70 yards from the intersection of County Road 306 and FM 2611. DPS cleared the scene Tuesday evening. The FAA is investigating.
