DALLAS — A group has put together a proposal to make the State Fair of Texas smaller.
Ash+Lime Strategies put the proposal together. In it, they explain that the current borders of the State Fair are too large, and that there's too much space that's not frequented by as many people.
They propose cropping the boundaries and concentrating the most popular elements of the fair.
The proposal cites Disney theme parks as an example, saying Fair Park should focus on a compact layout that boosts foot traffic and cuts down on confusion for attendees.
There have been several possibilities floated with regard to improving Fair Park. This is just one of them, and it's not endorsed by the city of Dallas.
