COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- A gas leak at Texas A&M caused a precautionary evacuation early Monday.
The Code Maroon alert was issued after 8 a.m. for the school's Recreational Sports Center. The building was evacuated, the school tweeted.
Students were advised to avoid the area until further notice.
Officials later said the leak was repaired, and the building reopened at 9:30 a.m.
