SAN ANTONIO -- A man who said he was not happy with the way the election turned out, is facing charges in connection with an incident that happened on Nov. 9.
Chase Michael Carter, 29, of San Antonio, was arrested Sunday by police and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
According to information in an affidavit for arrest warrant, the San Antonio Police Department said that Carter’s live-in girlfriend told them Carter became highly upset because he was not happy about the results of the Nov. 8 election.
He also reportedly said he was angry with his parents because they didn’t vote the same way he did.
She said he threatened to kill his parents. His girlfriend reportedly discovered the guns he kept at their apartment on Broadway were missing.
She also told police Carter had been reading about mass killings, spending time learning to shoot at a gun range and she was afraid of what he might do.
Police were also told about an Oct. 1 incident in which his live-in girlfriend said Carter pointed a gun at her and threatened to kill her.
