HOUSTON — The Texas Supreme Court has struck down Proposition B.
The measure approved by voters in 2018 called for Houston firefighters to be paid equal with police officers.
The city fought against the referendum, saying it would have cost hundreds of millions of dollars, resulting in layoffs and cuts in services.
