SANTA FE, Texas — Today, the judge in the Santa Fe shooting civil trial denied a defense motion to add Santa Fe ISD to the lawsuit.
Families of the victims in the 2018 school shooting are suing the accused gunman’s parents, saying they failed to prevent the murder of 10 people and the shooting of 13 others.
There also was more testimony on Wednesday, including from the suspect's mother, his half-sister and a former psychiatrist.
The civil trial comes more than six years after a gunman opened fire in Santa Fe High School, south of Houston. Eight students and two teachers were killed. Thirteen other people were injured.
