People accusing advocate Quanell X of defrauding them of thousands of dollars after asking him for legal help plan to protest in Houston.
The rally and prayer vigil is planned for 2 p.m. Thursday downtown outside the Harris County courthouse.
A group from Beaumont said it would file a class action lawsuit against him.
Quanell X has defended his reputation, however.
