MISSOURI CITY, Texas — For several days, KHOU 11 News has received reports from several viewers about problems getting their packages that seem to be stuck at a United States Post Office facility in Missouri City.
Many customers have been waiting weeks, some more than a month, for packages that include medications and small business supplies.
It’s a concern echoed by people across the Houston area and as far away as New Hampshire, where Marion Noble lives.
"Free my mail," Noble said. "I want my package. Please, Missouri City."
That facility is where Noble said the USPS tracker shows the main Christmas present for her daughter continued sitting Tuesday since five days prior -- on Dec. 14 -- the same day the package was supposed to arrive in New Hampshire.
Noble said the only new information on the tracker was "Package in transit, arriving late."
"Just unacceptable," Noble said while noting the USPS tracker showed her package had "ping-ponged" several places before arriving in Missouri City. "Something’s wrong with the system as it’s currently set up."
On Tuesday, KHOU followed up with other viewers who reported packages stuck at the same facility.
Viewer Leslie wrote back saying after sitting for 11 days, her package was out for delivery on Tuesday.
Kristy said her package arrived two days after messaging KHOU.
Ed Gor told KHOU 11 that he received his medication shortly after his interview on Dec. 15 with Ron Treviño.
"I think just constantly keeping the spotlight on this is the best way to get action," Gor said.

On Tuesday, Rep. Al Green, a Democrat who represents Missouri City, told KHOU he was planning to meet about the issue with an official who has requested anonymity but is "someone who understands the postal business quite well."
"I’m also making an effort now to arrange a meeting with persons who are officials at the Missouri City station," Green said.
Green thanked KHOU for bringing the issue to his attention, adding roughly 15 people have called his office with concerns.
"I think I’ve got to gather as much intelligence as I can, and then once I gather intelligence, I can plot a proper course of conduct," Green said.
Meanwhile, Noble said she received calls Monday from officials at her local post office and from Green’s office, promising to investigate.
"They just wanted to assure me, which was lovely to receive that call," Noble said.
KHOU asked Noble how hopeful she was for a resolution.
"Unless this package is found, put in a priority mail envelope, and flown to New Hampshire, I don’t think my daughter is going to have this gift for the holiday, but I’m still hopeful," she said. "I have hope."
KHOU reached out to a USPS spokesperson Tuesday afternoon for an update on what’s causing issues at the Missouri City facility and steps taken to resolve the issue. The station received the following emailed response:
"The Postal Service works hard each holiday season to provide the highest quality service to our customers. Regarding Missouri City, TX we continue to process all mail and packages as they are received at the South Houston Local Processing Center. We appreciate our customers’ business and their patience during this busy time of year."
USPS officials have previously said anyone waiting on a package and wanting specifics should call 1-800-ASK-USPS (1-800-275-8777).
