HOUSTON — A person was killed after being hit by a METRORail train in downtown Houston on Thursday night, according to authorities.
It happened just before 8 p.m. near the intersection of Fannin and Capitol streets along the Purple Line but it affected multiple lines.
Officials said the crash involved a pedestrian who stepped out in front of the train, which had just pulled away from a platform.
