HOUSTON — The eastbound lanes of Highway 529 are shut down after what Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said was a major crash.
The sheriff posted to X at a little after 3 p.m. Thursday about the wreck along FM 529 and Huffmeister Road. Life Flight was also responding to the scene.
At this point, we don’t know how many people were injured and we also don’t know what led up to the wreck.
According to Air 11 video, it appeared that a truck and a car collided in the intersection. The damaged truck was still in the middle of the intersection and the heavily damaged car had gone off the road and nearly into a pole.
