La Marque High School evacuated after bomb threat

Due to student safety, parents are not allowed to pick up students from the campus.

LA MARQUE, Texas — La Marque High School was evacuated after the school received a bomb threat Monday morning.

Texas City ISD officials say all students and staff have been evacuated. Due to student safety, parents are not allowed to pick up students from the campus.

The district released the following statement:

“La Marque High School has received a bomb threat. All threats are taken seriously and investigated thoroughly. Administrators are well-trained on district-level emergency management, incident command, and National Incident Management procedures, which go into effect immediately upon notification of a threat. Parents should not go to the school now as all students and staff have been evacuated. Due to student safety, parents cannot pick up students from the evacuation site. We will let parents know when it's safe for the students to return to school.”
