DEER PARK, Texas — Facilities near the ITC Deer Park tank farm self-issued shelter-in-place orders Saturday.
It was not unexpected with the shift in the winds.
Several companies near the tank farm have been monitoring air quality, and some had levels Saturday that prompted the companies to issue precautionary shelters-in-place orders.
Those were effective inside the plants only.
No cities or neighborhoods in the area have issued shelters-in-place. And there are no companies that remain in a shelter-in-place.
