These are the 10 most expensive homes in the Houston area sold in May

The most expensive home was listed at close to $15,000,000.

HOUSTON — There are plenty of expensive homes around the Houston area, but which are the priciest?

The Houston Association of Realtors  -- or HAR -- released its list of most expensive homes sold in the city during the month of May, with the most expensive one sold listed at nearly $15,000,000.

That one, which is a single-family 17,192-square-foot home in the Memorial area, was listed at $14,800,000 when it was sold. It’s in the Sherwood Forest subdivision.

The house, which has a total of six bedrooms to go with eight full bathrooms and four half bathrooms, sits on a 4.06-acre lot.

The next most-expensive home was listed as $6,900,000. It’s at 14,130-square-foot home in Memorial Drive Manor in the Memorial Villages area.

After that was a home sold in the Memorial Oaks subdivision of Memorial Villages. The 12,061-square-foot home listed for $6,150,000.

We go to River Oaks for No. 4 on the list of most expensive homes sold in the Houston area. It’s an 8,189 square foot home in the River Oaks Country Club Estates subdivision.  It was listed at $5,595,000.
