More good news for drivers in west Harris County. Highway 6 and Eldridge Parkway have finally reopened after historic flooding overwhelmed the area more than three weeks ago.
Clay Road and Westheimer Parkway reopened earlier this week,
The closings created a nightmare for drivers and businesses.
Many drivers like Tim Davison have seen their commutes to and from work more than double over the last three weeks.
"An extra hour in the morning and evening makes for a long day," Davison said.
Some businesses in the area have seen sales drop dramatically.
TxDOT initially predicted it could be the end of May before Highway 6 reopened.
