HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo said she went to the emergency room Monday due to several symptoms, including a rising fever, pain and dehydration.
Hidalgo is currently at home recovering but said doctors are ordering her to stay put for a couple of days to recuperate.
She said she will need to go back to the doctor's office for a follow-up visit.
Hidalgo said she plans on returning to work and the campaign trail once she recovers, which could be later this week.
