GALVESTON, Texas — We've got a big heads-up for drivers in Galveston. If you're planning to drive along 51st Street, you will need to find a different way around.
That's because a big hole opened up on 51st and the roadway is now shut down between Broadway and Avenue K. Galveston city crews worked to fill in the hole and open the road back up.
At this point, it's not clear what led to the hole opening up. Even though 51st Street is closed, Broadway is still open.
As soon as they have the hole filled in and opened 51st Street back up, we'll update this story.
