Carnival adds fourth ship in Galveston with Miracle offering longer cruises

Carnival Miracle is the fourth cruise ship to join Galveston fleet

GALVESTON, Texas — A fourth Carnival ship has been added to the fleet, giving people who want to cruise out of Galveston more options.

Carnival Miracle arrived at her new homeport on Wednesday, Oct. 16, to begin sailing various longer cruises from Texas. During her first season in Galveston, Carnival Miracle will sail 18 cruises ranging from four to 12 days. Destinations will include Eastern, Southern and Western Caribbean, The Bahamas and the Panama Canal.

“Galveston continues to grow in popularity with our guests. Adding a fourth Carnival ship to homeport in this great city gives our guests expanded choices, especially with the upcoming longer cruises Carnival Miracle will sail, which are ideal for those who want to experience a wider variety of beautiful ports of call and enjoy more time at sea,” Fred Stein, vice president of itinerary planning for Carnival, said.

The 2,200-guest ship features many of the signature Carnival venues, including Guy’s Burger Joint, the BlueIguana Cantina, the RedFrog and Alchemy bars, WaterWorks Aqua Park and The Punchliner Comedy Club.

Upcoming cruises include 10, 11 and 12-day journies.

  • 10-Day Panama Canal sailing: Departs Nov. 15, 2024, featuring stops in Cozumel, Mexico; Limon, Costa Rica; Colon, Panama (and tours of the Panama Canal); and Mahogany Bay, Isla Roatan.
  • 11-Day Caribbean sailing: Departs Nov. 25, 2024, with visits to Montego Bay, Jamaica; Amber Cove; Grand Turk; Princess Cays and Nassau, The Bahamas.
  • 12-Day Carnival Southern Caribbean sailing: Departs Jan. 26, 2025, and visits Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands; Aruba; Bonaire; Curacao; Cozumel. Mexico.

Carnival Miracle joins sister ships Carnival Dream, Carnival Breeze and the new Carnival Jubilee.

Next spring, Carnival Miracle will sail to Europe for the summer and Carnival Legend will replace it in Galveston. Miracle will return to Galveston in 2026.
