6 units damaged during multi-alarm fire at Cypress Station apartment building

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office says multiple units were damaged, but no injuries have been reported.

HOUSTON — Firefighters have contained a multi-alarm fire at an apartment building in north Harris County Tuesday morning.

This is at the Palms at Cypress Station located in the 900 block of Cypress Station Drive.

The Harris County Fire Marshall's Office says six units, four occupied, were damaged, but no injuries have been reported.

One resident explained how he had to rescue his daughter after he saw flames near her room.

“I'm on Apt No. 1311 and I woke up to fire alarm, so I grabbed my child, and in the process, seen flames in her bathroom,” Christopher McFadden said. “Slipped down the stairs and alerted authorities and neighbors...from the looks of it, I assume it's from everybody heater being on.”

The Red Cross is on the scene to help assist the victims.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
