Father of triplets identified as victim of gun range shooting

Joshua Cummings, 36, was killed in what appears to be a tragic accident at the Hot Wells Shooting Range in Cypress Tuesday.

CYPRESS, Texas - There's an outpouring of support for a father of triplets.

Joshua Cummings, 36, was killed in what appears to be a tragic accident at the Hot Wells Shooting Range in Cypress Tuesday.

"He lives in our neighborhood. This is someone that's a part of Towne Lake," said Ken Lininger, who created a YouCaring page to raise money for Cummings' wife, Kathleen, and their three kids.

Lininger lives in the same community.

"I personally didn't know him," Lininger said. "I didn't know the family, but it's a tragic, dramatic incident that happened, and I think the reaction by everyone was similar. It's dramatic, and we just want to help."

Cummings spent years working for CenterPoint Energy in a variety of roles in Texas, Arkansas and Mississippi.

Center Point released a statement which, in part, read, "He was a respected colleague and friend to many at CenterPoint Energy. Josh will be deeply missed."

Leadership Houston is also mourning his loss. Cummings finished the 10th month immersion program this past June. The program guided him and others through Houston's economy, history and growth plans.
