HOUSTON — A man died after his car struck a retaining wall and light pole on the 610 Loop exit ramp from the Gulf Freeway overnight.
This happened just before 11 p.m. Monday heading south on the Gulf Freeway in southeast Houston.
Houston police say the male driver lost control of his car and struck the retaining wall and then went across the exit ramp to the 610 Loop. The car then struck a light pole that was on its side due to the construction in the area.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. There were no other vehicles or passengers involved.
