PEARLAND, Texas – Houston police are trying to find the owner of a dog who was found burned and neglected in Pearland.
A woman named Lori Schiller found the dog. She immediately took him to the vet, but it was too late to save him.
“Nothing else could be done. His body was tired and gave out," said Schiller. "How could it not break anyone's heart."
The dog apparently came from a Houston-area address. Police are investigating.
