THE WOODLANDS, Texas — A father died and his two daughters were injured in a crash in The Woodlands early Thursday, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
This happened just after midnight on Sawdust Road near the North Freeway.
Details are limited but DPS said the father lost control of the vehicle with his kids in the backseat. The pickup truck left the road and hit a guardrail before coming to a stop in a parking lot. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Texas DPS said the man's two daughters, ages 4 and 7, were taken to an area hospital for minor injuries and are expected to be OK.
DPS said they did not think the father was wearing a seatbelt when the crash happened. They believe the two girls were wearing seatbelts.
