COLORADO COUNTY, Texas – Classes at Columbus ISD will resume Tuesday but extra police will be on hand to keep an eye on things.
Classes were cancelled Monday after a threat was made on social media, school administrators say.
Police identified the juvenile who made the threat and they say "there is no longer a danger."
CISD administrators are asking parents to continue to monitor their children’s social media and encourage your child to say something if they see a message that would create a concern.
“Columbus ISD would also like to thank the students who saw this post for letting their parents and school authorities know about this situation. We also want to thank the adults who contacted the local law enforcement authorities,” the district posted on its website.
