TEXAS CITY, Texas — The Coast Guard rescued five people Wednesday night after their boat capsized near Texas City.
Texas City 911 dispatched watchstanders in the Houston-Galveston sector about five people in the water after their vessel capsized in Moses Lake.
An Air Station Houston MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew already in the air was diverted to the scene and hoisted the five boaters. They were taken to a nearby service road where they met with emergency medical services personnel.
Officials said none of the boaters, who were all wearing life jackets, were injured.
