FRIENDSWOOD -- A doctor's office here received quite the scare on Friday when a woman crashed her SUV into the business.
The accident happened on East Edgewood at Melody Lane around 12:20 p.m.
Friendswood Chief R. Wieners said at 12:18 they received a complaint about a reckless driver in a Lincoln Navigator on Melody Lane. Two minutes later that Navigator crashed into Friendswood Women, an OBGYN office.
The driver ran through the brick wall exterior and another wall inside. Olivia Franco, the office's account specialist, said many people were at lunch when the accident happened.
No one inside the office was injured. The 41-year-old driver was taken to Clear Lake Regional Hospital, where she consented to an alcohol/drug screening.
Charges will be fired, according to Wieners, but officials are waiting on toxicology results of the driver's blood test before they decide what those charges will be.
It's the second car crash into a building today.
